What is an RDP?

An RDP is an remote desktop client, specifically called RDP because it stands for Remote Desktop Protocol.RDP's allow you to wide your computer from mobile devices,so you can access and edit all your documents and files.RDP's allow you to run flash and Java based web pages and more on your device. The common business name, though,is RDC,or Remote Desktop Client.

RDP's also allow you to navigate your computer, even remotely control it.Need to access an important file but forgot your computer at home?No Problem!Just grab a mobile device (iOS and Android devices are only supported as of now) and open the file after remotely logging in.Some free clients only let you access your device if it is connected to the same network as your mobile device,or if you install a companion, but some paid clients actually let you connect to your device anywhere if you have it's IP Address.RDP's also sometimes control your computer,so if it gets misplaced or stolen, you can simply lock it or shut it down from your phone or tablet. In all,RDP's are a very useful application, and provide means of running flash and many more applications on your mobile device.
