Meat from scratch

Can you imagine something that looks, tastes, and smells like meat, but is not? That's what is happening now. Scientists are now making meat in a laboratory-using stem cells from animals. Studies show that meat is affecting the Earth by releasing emissions. So a scientist named Mark Post decided to take this up.If it all goes according to Mark Post's plan, He'll be on TV in a few months eating a hamburger that costs double the price of a house.

Post took stem cells from cows and grew them in the lab, where he produced more and more of them. Stem cells are basically bags of protein, and Post manipulated these and made them look like meat. This process of making artificial meat is environment friendly, but also expensive. We can only hope that we cut down on animal consumption in the near future.
